Summer will be here before you know it! In order to help families plan for summer, OUSD has gathered resources and information on summer programs available in Oakland and the Greater Bay Area.
How to use our guide to summer programs in Oakland:
Review this guide and think about what you want for your child this summer. Would your child benefit from Summer Enrichment? Academics? Sports or Physical Activity? A combination of activities? Do you have a teen looking for a summer job? Information on each of the areas above and more are included as resources for you as you plan forward.
Once you have decided what you want for your child, look for an organization offering programs in that area. Don’t worry about cost yet as many organizations provide financial assistance if needed. Visit their website or call them to get more information about cost and enrollment procedures.
After you have found the right summer opportunity—apply! It’s never too early to apply for summer programs to make sure you get the program that’s a good fit for your family.
