Oakland Unified desires to provide employees, community and partners timely information on collective bargaining with our employee unions.

OEA Bargaining

OUSD's office of Labor Management & Employee Relations (LMER) leads our bargaining effort and is currently in active negotiations with our teachers' union, the Oakland Education Association (OEA). At its September 27, 2012 meeting, the Board of Education summarized its direction to staff regarding bargaining with OEA (see video excerpt below).

Nondiscrimination Policy
